Holistic Positive Coaching Psychology

Positive Psychology is currently in its 5th Wave, and we are here for it. Each wave has brought valuable research and powerful tools to the next to continue to build and create evidence-based interventions that show measurable results.

How does Coaching differ from Therapy?

While I do endeavour to be trauma informed, I am not a Trauma Therapist. In fact, coaching is not therapy.

Holistic Positive Coaching Psychology is an integrative coaching approach that combines the evidence-based principles of positive psychology, coaching psychology, & a whole-person (holistic) perspective to support individuals in enhancing well-being, realising their strengths, achieving meaningful and measurable goals, & fostering sustainable growth across multiple life domains.

My approach is client-centred, meaning that I meet clients where they are on their journey & support them through evidence-based methods to build lives they want to be a part of, making changes that they want to make.

Coaching is not Clinical Therapy or Crisis Service.

First Wave – Focused on happiness, strengths, positive emotions, and what helps individuals flourish. Unfortunately, some took a turn into toxic positivity and we rightly carried on to enter the Second Wave.

Second Wave – Recognized that wellbeing also involves suffering, adversity, and the integration of positive and negative experiences. Life is sometimes messy, and…well… “lifey.” The goal is not to avoid life’s challenges, but to learn how to navigate them with grace, compassion, and grow as a result, known as Post Traumatic Growth.

Third Wave – Expanded beyond Euro-American perspectives to include cultural diversity, indigenous knowledge, and broader conceptions of wellbeing. 

Fourth Wave – Emphasized systems, institutions, communities, and collective wellbeing rather than just individual flourishing. 

Fifth Wave – Building on the previous four waves, the 5th wave explores expansive wellbeing and spiritual wellbeing as fundamental to the vitality of our experiences, and considers the flourishing of all life & ecosystems.
