Sound Therapy & Reiki

with Emily Kate

Such a brilliant combination!

I have been a Reiki practitioner since 2019 and have been working with the healing aspects of Sound for over a decade. I have recently come to terms with the fact that there will likely always be at least a little Reiki in my Sound Healing and a little Sound Healing in my Reiki. You see, once you become a Reiki Master, you become Reiki. Energy work becomes a part of who you are. There is no separation; there is only practice.

I have never been comfortable with the word healer - as I truly believe that I am a facilitator of both Sound Healing and Reiki Energy Work. I am an intuitive practitioner who holds the space so that you are able to tap into the source you inherently possess within. This allows for you to resource from the internal wisdom of your whole being. There is even neuroscience to support this which pleases the skeptic in me.

I am so grateful to have been called to this energy work during a time when the foundations have been laid and I am able to step into purpose as well as flow with the river of knowledge, rather than swimming upstream with experience that required defense. Galway is really embracing energy work as a complementary modality in the past few years and many more people have at least heard of Reiki, even if they haven’t experienced it, yet. Reiki does not contradict any religious or spiritual values that a person might have. If anything, it helps to increase a person’s connection to their faith. There is a growing body of peer-reviewed research available today on all of the modalities that I offer, and I am happy to share this with you if you drop me a line.

As a life-long learner, thirsty for evidence-based practices to support those who choose to work with me, Sound Therapy, Coaching, & Reiki are home for me. I will be shortly adding Indian Head Massage to my competencies and will consider adding it to the menu once I have conducted a reasonable number of case studies to ensure that it is a modality that my clients would benefit from and that I have the same exuberance for as a practitioner. Just as food that is prepared with love tastes better, energy work that is offered with humble confidence and care has more potential to foster healing. So, stay tuned, as my offerings expand and your opportunities increase.
